A Legacy of Faith Since 1828
Founded in 1828 adjacent to the nearby Tranquil Cemetery, Turin Methodist Church has been a cornerstone of faith in Coweta County for nearly two centuries. From horse-drawn buggies to space flight, the steady drumbeat of time has marched on, but our commitment to biblical truth and faithful ministry has remained constant.

In our early years, we were part of a 4-church circuit in the Methodist Episcopal Church, serving the rural communities of Pike and Coweta Counties. Generations of families have been baptized, married, and laid to rest within these walls. Through wars, depressions, and cultural upheavals, Turin Methodist has stood as a beacon of hope and a place where God's Word is faithfully proclaimed.

Today, Turin Methodist continues that legacy. We're still a small country church where everyone knows your name, where hymns are sung with conviction, and where the Bible is preached with clarity. We've seen a lot of changes over the years, but our mission remains the same: to worship God, grow in faith, and serve our neighbors.

Turing Methodist Church was part of the United Methodist Church from when that denomination formed in 1968 until it disaffiliated at the end of 2023.

Our Place in the Community
Turin Methodist Church has been Turin's home for Scouting America (formerly Scouts BSA), Girl Scouts, and countless community gatherings over the decades. Our building has hosted everything from wedding receptions to community meetings, from funeral dinners to scout banquets. We're more than a church—we're part of the fabric of this community.
